My 401 k account is in the crapper----what sort of percentages of stocks vs money market vs other should I be putting future allocations in to realize the best recovery. I am 45 years old.

I have investments in TIAA / CREF. I am two years out from retirement. Are these accts. secured like a bank acct. is? Are they still a good investment?

Should I pull my 401(k) or leave it where it is?

I am in my ealry 30's and would like to increase my investments by about about $200/month. I already have a 401K, CD, and traditional savings acounts.

What vehicle should I invest this additional money: Increase my
401K, open a new CD (I haven't checked the latest rates, but don't imagine they're that great) or open a new type of account, like a Roth IRA?

Are you for or against the bailout?
How will these thieves ever learn their lesson if they keep benefiting from their crimes???

What about investing in income generating realestate---it seems like you have more control under those circumstances.

Don't you have a vested interest in telling people to get back on the horse and keep putting money in the market?

I add $300 a paycheck to a 403b account. This is a new account, only about a year old and has lost about 20% of its value. Should I suspend my contributions, shift them to a guaranteed savings or continue contributing my $300 a paycheck? I am 41 and do have a NYSTR.

I am 55 my husband is 58. I have a small 401(k) at work, my husband has our main one at his work. I am depositing 10% now, he is only depositing 8%. We were going to increase it but now I feel we should decrease and save another way. What's your advice? Also, I have over 200K in one money market acct, should I split it into another bank? I am worried about the FDIC only insuring up to 100K.

I have a deferred compensation account with NYS which is not FDIC insured. I retired last year at age 52. Should I consider rolling over my money to a IRA CD with a bank so it would be insured?

I would like to invest in some stocks while the prices are low. What would be the stocks to buy, and how do I go about doing this?
